1. Agreement
By installing or using Money Timeline you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
2. What the service is
3. Accuracy of your timeline
Transactions are read from alerts your bank sends by SMS. Alert formats change, messages arrive late or not at all, and merchant strings are often abbreviated. The app may therefore miss a transaction, duplicate one, or file it under the wrong category. Balances, projections and heat scales are estimates built on that data. Always check against your bank statement before acting on a number you see here.
4. Your account and device
You are responsible for keeping your device and any account credentials secure. Most data lives on the device, so losing an unlocked phone means losing control of your timeline. Cloud Sync exists so you can restore after a loss; it is your choice whether to enable it.
5. Plus subscription and billing
6. Acceptable use
Use the app for your own records. Do not reverse engineer it, resell access, use it to process someone else's bank alerts without their knowledge, or attempt to break its security or that of our systems. We may suspend access that breaks these rules or that puts other users at risk.
7. Ownership
Your transactions, notes and categories are yours; export them whenever you like. The app itself, the Money Timeline name and the mark remain ours. Nothing in these terms transfers our intellectual property to you.
8. Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions taken on the basis of figures shown in the app, or for data lost when Cloud Sync is off. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app, and cancel Plus in Google Play. We may end or limit the service with reasonable notice, or immediately where required by law or to protect users. Export your data before you go — uninstalling removes the on-device copy.
10. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction. If we change the terms we will show a notice in the app before the change applies; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version. Questions go to [email protected].
